How do I install the extension?

Go to your dashboard, click Setup, and follow the 3-step guide. While the extension is in development, you load it manually via chrome://extensions. Once it's on the Chrome Web Store, it'll be a one-click install.

Where do I get an OpenAI API key?

Go to platform.openai.com/api-keys, sign in or create an account, and generate a new secret key. Paste it into the extension popup or your dashboard settings.

Is my API key safe?

Yes. Your key is stored in chrome.storage.sync — encrypted and local to your browser. It's sent directly to OpenAI, never through our servers. We have no access to it.

The Improve button isn't showing up.

Make sure the extension is loaded and enabled in chrome://extensions. Try refreshing the ChatGPT or Claude tab. If it still doesn't appear, the AI platform may have updated their interface — check back in a day or two while we push a fix.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Email goatedprompts@gmail.com and we'll cancel it immediately. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

I paid but I'm still showing as Free.

This is usually a webhook delay. Wait 60 seconds and refresh your dashboard. If it's still showing Free after a few minutes, email us with your account email and we'll fix it manually.

Does it work on Claude too?

Pro plan only. The Free plan works on ChatGPT only. Upgrade to Pro to unlock Claude.

What does 'auto-accept' do?

When enabled, improvements apply to your prompt immediately without showing you the before/after diff. Turn it on in Settings if you want speed over review.
